Anytime Enrollment for Verizon Retirees*

As a Verizon retiree, “Anytime Enrollment” can help you more effectively manage your retiree benefits and make choices that will offer the best value for you and your family.

With “Anytime Enrollment,” you can change your coverage anytime during the year for any reason and any number of times. The change will be effective on the first day of the month, 31 days after you make your election.

(ex. Election is made on 05/15/07. New election coverage will be effective on 07/01/07.)

If You Need to Make Changes

If you decide to change your benefit elections, you can do so either online or by phone:

Online –
  • Go to Your Benefits Resources Web site -- http://www.verizon.com/benefits (user ID and password required)
  • Select the “Health” tab
  • Select “Anytime Enrollment” from the drop down menu under “What To Do When”
  • Submit your changes and print the confirmation page for your records. A confirmation will also be sent to you via email. You will not receive a confirmation statement in your home mail.

Verizon Benefits Center – call toll free 1-877-489-2367 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. Say “compensation & benefits,” “healthcare,” then “renew or change coverage.” A Benefits Center Representative will assist you in making your elections. You’ll receive a confirmation statement at your mailing address on file.

*Note: If you retired as a Verizon New York and New England Associate on or after August 9, 1986, you may only change your coverage during the annual Benefits Renewal period or if you or a dependent has a change in status that affects eligibility for coverage. See your plan’s Summary Plan Description (SPD) for additional details. You may request a copy of the SPD free of charge by calling the Verizon Benefits Center.
