Personalization
While most callers will hear the same Main Menu options, the 1-877-4VZBens submenu options have been personalized, and will vary for retirees and active employees. After verifying your identity, the personalization begins and you will only hear submenu options you have elected or are eligible for.
Ways to use 1-877-4VZBens
At the Main Menu you can speak the option you desire or push the corresponding key pad option. For example, you can key the number 2 from your phone keypad for "Savings Plan" since this is the second option on the Main Menu example below. In addition, to assist you in navigating quickly throughout the system, "Fast Path and Key Words" can be used.
Fast Path
As you become familiar with the Main Menu and the submenus, you can Fast Path to a first level submenu or destination by saying the option you want.
For example, from the Main Menu, if you want to Fast Path to Review or Change Coverage say "Review or Change Coverage" and
you will bypass the Health Care submenu and route directly to the Verizon Benefits Center after entering your Verizon Benefits Center password.
Key Words
From the Main Menu, you can also say Key Words that will route you directly to a submenu to hear more options. For example, from the Main Menu, say “Pension” and
you will route directly to the Retirement and Pension submenu.
